Almond Flour Granola Bars

These granola bars are perfect for someone who does not tolerate oats or someone who is on a grain-free or paleo diet. Instead of oats, I’ve added almond flour as the main bulk of the bar. One of the biggest benefits of these bars are that they are relatively low in sugar, with only 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup.

Another benefit is the addition of healthy nuts and seeds. Nuts and seeds are highly nutritious and offer numerous health benefits. Firstly, they are packed with essential nutrients like healthy fats, protein, vitamins, minerals, and fiber. These nutrients promote cardiovascular health by reducing bad cholesterol levels and preventing the risk of heart diseases. Additionally, they are rich in antioxidants that protect against oxidative stress and inflammation, ultimately reducing the risk of chronic illnesses. Nuts and seeds also support brain function by providing omega-3 fatty acids that boost cognitive abilities and improve memory.

These bars are also very versatile. You can use any type of nut butter you like. You can also replace the walnuts and almonds with pecans or peanuts. Substitutions for the chocolate chips can be dried cranberries or raisins. As long as you have the base ingredients of nut butter, honey or maple syrup, and almond flour, the possibilities are many!

I hope you enjoy these Almond Flour Granola Bars as a healthy, filling, and portable snack.

  1. How long do these stay good for? I am looking for an energy bar recipe that is somehow naturally preserved.

  2. I'm not sure. I usually keep them out on the counter for about a week, but they would probably last longer in the fridge.

  3. I found these got quite dark around the edges and would recommend to users to use parchment to keep it from getting too dark. Also it took less than 15 mins for mine to cook.
