I am so excited to finally share with you what I have been working on this past year. I have literally put my blood, sweat and tears into this cookbook. Writing this book has probably been the most difficult and scariest thing I have ever done, but it was an exciting opportunity that I couldn't pass up.
I spent hundreds of hours in the kitchen perfecting these low-FODMAP versions of my favorite recipes. Many of the recipes are inspired by growing up and living in the Midwest: classic comfort food dishes like casseroles and slow cooker meals. I also included fresh and healthy recipes that I have grown to appreciate in recent years, like salads and stir-fry.
The cookbook includes 100 recipes, with over 80 NEW recipes:

It was of utmost importance that my cookbook be factually sound, taking into account how complicated and intricate the low-FODMAP diet can be. I worked with Monash University, the leading researcher in FODMAPs, to ensure accuracy and used the FODMAP App as a guide in designing the recipes. I highly encourage you to purchase the app as a companion to my book.
In addition to 100 low-FODMAP recipes, I also explain the science behind FODMAPs, how the low-FODMAP diet works and how to improve digestion. There are also plenty of tips on grocery shopping, snacks ideas and sample meal plans.
I'm also very excited about these other features of my book:
- No xanthan gum! All of the recipes are gluten-free, but were designed to not require any gums, such as xanthan or guar.
- Over 20 Vegan recipes and 15 recipes with a vegan option.
